UPSC Civil Services IAS Final Result 2026 – Complete Details

Union Public Service Commission conducts the Civil Services Examination every year to recruit candidates for top administrative positions in the Government of India. Through this prestigious examination, candidates are selected for services such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), along with several other central services.

UPSC conducted the Preliminary Examination on 25 May 2025 at multiple exam centers across India. This stage served as the first screening test for candidates appearing in the Civil Services Examination.

Candidates who qualified in the preliminary stage appeared in the Mains Examination on 22 August 2025. The mains exam evaluated candidates’ in-depth knowledge, analytical skills, and ability to express their understanding of various subjects.

After the mains results were declared, shortlisted candidates attended the Personality Test (Interview) conducted between 08 December and 19 December 2025. This stage assessed candidates’ personality traits, decision-making abilities, and suitability for administrative roles.

UPSC officially declared the Civil Services Final Result on 06 March 2026. The final merit list includes the names and roll numbers of candidates selected for different services based on their overall performance in the Mains examination and interview.

Candidates who appear in the final merit list will receive service allocation according to their rank, category, and service preferences submitted during the application process.
