CBSE conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test to assess candidates for teaching positions in KVS, NVS, and other CBSE-affiliated schools.

For the CTET February 2026 session, CBSE has released the exam schedule along with application and fee details. The online application process starts on 27 December 2025 and ends on 30 December 2025. Candidates must complete the form submission and fee payment within the given timeline to avoid rejection.

CTET will conduct the February 2026 examination on 08 February 2026. The board will release the admit card a few days earlier, and candidates can download it from the official CTET website using login credentials.

Application Fee Details

For Paper-I
General and OBC Candidates: ₹1000
SC, ST, and PWD Candidates: ₹500

For Both Paper-I and Paper-II
General and OBC Candidates: ₹1200
SC, ST, and PWD Candidates: ₹600


Mode of Payment

The examination fee can be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card, or Mobile Wallet.


Age Limit – CTET February 2026

No Age Limit

As per CBSE CTET rules, there is no minimum or maximum age restriction to appear for the CTET examination. Candidates who meet the required educational qualifications can apply irrespective of their age.

Paper-I: For candidates intending to teach Classes I to V
Paper-II: For candidates intending to teach Classes VI to VIII

Candidates can apply for Paper-I, Paper-II, or both, depending on their eligibility and teaching preference.
